Heart Identification Flashcards
Top of the tube, which returns deoxygenated blood from the systemic circulation to the Right Atrium.
Superior Vena Cava (SVC)
Bottom of the tube, which returns deoxygenated blood from the systemic circulation to the Right Atrium.
Inferior Vena Cava (IVC)
On top, on the right dorsal side. Holds the deoxygenated blood carried from the bluish SVC & IVC.
Right Atrium
On the right dorsal side of the mammalian heart.
Right Atrioventricular(AV) Valve
Circle convex, forms much of the sternocostal.
Right Ventricle
Between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery, 3 cusps.
Pulmonary Semilunar Valve
Short and wide, split into right and left arteries.
Pulmonary Trunk
Towards the top of the trunk, a singular blue tube.
Right Pulmonary Artery
Connected to Ligamentum Arteriosum, shorter than the right.
Left Pulmonary Artery
Receives oxygenated blood from the pulmonary veins into the left ventricle.
Left Atrium
