Syncope, dizziness SOB, palpitations HF Bradycardia Wide pulse pressure JVP cannon waves

1st degree heart block S+S
A
PR >0.2s - usually asymptomatic, irregular pulse

2nd degree type 1 block S+S + management
A
IRREGULAR = wenckeback
PR prolongs until dropped QRS.
Presents with fatigue, SOB, CP, palps.
Give atropine + consider pacemaker

2nd degree type 2 block S+S + management
A
PR constant but P not always followed by QRS.
Presents with fatigue, SOB, CP, palps.
Give atropine + consider pacemaker

3rd degree block S+S + management
A
No association between P wave + QRS complex
Presents with syncope, HP, Adams attacks (brief LOC)
Atropine, transcutaneous pacing + permanent pacemaker
