Neurones do not fire. Caused by loud noises, age, the breakage or destruction of hair cells. Cochlea Implant: sends impulse directly to auditory nerve

What is Conduction Deafness?
A
Inability to magnify sound waves due to a congenital (birth) defect, infection or the ossicles fusing. Hearing aids help

What is Tinnitus and what is it’s cause?
A
Ringing in the ears caused by damaged hair cells in the cochlea or random “static” within the brain.
