state the needs for physical well-being?
- body systems work well

define the term fitness
the ability to cope with (or meet) the demands of the environment
explain the relationship between health and fitness
difference between health and fitness is when you decreased fitness because of ill health. however, can still train/get fit having ill health
describe requirements for good mental health and well-being
- the ability to cope with stress

- free from injury/illness/disease
what are the 4 components of a balanced diet and what do they do?
- carbohydrates - give energy
- fat - for insulation
- protein - to grow and repair muscles
- water - transport nutrients and remove waste products
what happens/the causes when consuming too much sugar/glucose?
too much glucose gets turned into glycogen which stores in fatty tissues and muscles. this is used when needed in sports or activities. however, too much can cause you to gain weight.
