Mandatory for more than 5 employees
H&S policy document would need to include: (C Sir)

How would you undertake a risk assessment before attending site?
Legal requirement for organisations employing more than 5 staff:
- Identifying the current hazards
- Identifying the people at risk
- Evaluate the risk (how likely)
- Record
- Review
- Advise those affected of the risk assessment and the precautions
Pall Mall -
Hazard - Building site, falling objects, structual instablilty
Risks - Debris falling, falling from heights
Control measures
PPE, Site maneger accompany
What are your health & safety duties as an individual surveyor?
Safe person concept - I have a duty not just to myself but to colleagues and others.
I carry out my own risk assessment prior to any inspection
If I have to lone work there are procedures in my place - such as check in calls, calendar times, always ensure that everyone knows where I am
Tell me something you understand from reading Surveying Safely.
Assessing Hazards and Risks (and to include in Risk assessments)
Also:
Safe person concept - The responsibility is not just for the employer but I have responsibility for my colleagues and others
When was Surveying Safely last updated?
2024 to make professional standard. It is effective from February 2019

Hazard - anything that has the potential to cause harm (water on the floor)
Risk - the likelihood that a hazard will cause harm and the severity (may cause someone to slip)
What legislation do you follow regarding fire at Palladium House
Fire Risk Management Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
To ensure a minimum standard of fire safety within a non domestic premises.
Responsible person is in charge of maintaining this
What were the action points at Palladium House?
There was a door which wasn’t fire resisting - therefore replaced
Palladium House - How did you ensure they were all actioned?

Tell me about your understanding of fire safety?
There is a Responsible Person - which is Hugh
We undertake an annual review - and implement the action points
Record keeping
Training

What is the six pack
Introduced in 1993
These 6 regulations are linked with the H&S At Work Act 1974
