How would you undertake a risk assessment before attending site?
- Identify hazards
- Identify people are risk of hazards e.g employees, contractors, visitors
- Evaluate the risk, likelihood and severity of accidents.
- Record the findings on a suitable form.
- Review risk assessment regularly.
- Advise those affected by outcome or risk assessment and methods to minimise or eliminate risk.
What is asbestos?
An insulating material can cause serious health problems and fatal diseases.

There are two separate obligations.

How does asbestos cause lung damage?
It releases very small toxic fibres which can lodge in the lungs and cause illness.

1. Required where premises need upgrading, refurb or demolition
