- People won’t seek out help because it is “socially unacceptable”

- Often underrepresented in the media and are misrepresented

How does violent media relate to violent thoughts, feelings, and behaviors?
- Increased risk of aggressive thoughts, feelings, appraisals, and behaviors

Happy Violence
Unrealistic effects of violence. It is “cool, swift, painless, and always leads to a happy ending.”
Example: “people run through machine gun fire and are left unscathed.”
