Q: What findings might be important to look for as you observe this patient?
- Level of distress
- Labored breathing
- Sking color: Central and Peripheral Cyanosis
- Respiratory rate
Cyanosis: a bluish discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes due to excessive concentration of reduced hemoglobin in the blood
Peripheral Cyanosis: A bluish discoloration of Hands and Feet
Q: What possible causes of chest pain are you considering?
- Panic attack
- Angina
- GERD (gastroesophegeal reflux disease)
- Musculoskeletal chest wall pain

Q. What cardiovascular risk factors do you need to consider in this patient?

THE RISK FACTORS ARE :
- Family history of coronary artery disease*
- Hyperlipedemia, hepertansion, smoking, diabetes*
- For Women: preeclampsia, collagen vascular disease*
Highest Risk: Family history conveys highest risk
Preeclampsia
define:
a condition in pregnancy characterized by high blood pressure, sometimes with fluid retention and proteinuria.
Hyperlipidemia
Define:
Hyperlipidemia
- is abnormally elevated levels of any or all lipids or lipoproteins in the blood.*
- Hyperlipidemia is an umbrella term that refers to acquired or genetic disorders that result in high levels of lipids (fats, cholesterol, or triglycerides) circulating in the blood.*
- This disease is usually chronic and requires ongoing medication to control blood lipid levels*
