Gestational Diabetes
type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after childbirth.
Binge-Eating Disorder
eating disorder that involves consuming large amounts of food in a short amount of time
Asthma
a disease where the airways tighten in a spastic way, making it hard to breathe.
Influenza / The Flu
a viral infection. It is not generally hazardous to healthy people. It begins with cold-like ailments, aches, pains, nausea, diarrhea, and fever.
Diabetes Mellitus
a group of diseases in which the body can’t make enough insulin or use it correctly. Most people with diabetes have hyperglycemia, or high blood sugar.
Leukemia
A type of growth that affects the cells that make blood causes too many immature white blood cells to be made.

Anorexia nervosa
Melanoma
A kind of cancer that starts in the skin.
Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDs)
A disease that HIV causes. A loss of the body’s defenses. If they aren’t treated, secondary illnesses can kill you.
Emotional Abuse
Abuse can cause melancholy, loss of self-confidence and self-esteem, migraines, stomachaches, and educational disinterest. Poor people are more likely to commit suicide, use alcohol and drugs, and have health issues.
Neglect
Abuse characterized by poor growth, weight increase, cleanliness, lack of basic requirements, and stealing money or food. Homelessness, suicide, alcohol/drug addiction, and physical health issues can result.
Nutrients: Carbohydrates
The body’s primary source of energy. They also provide fiber, which is essential for healthy digestion and maintaining a healthy blood sugar level

General Tonic-Clonic (Grand Mal) Seizures
seizure in which child becomes stiff and slumps to the floor; rigid muscles begin twitching and jerking, breathing becomes erratic or stops, and saliva may escape from the lips
Stress
issues that can cause heart problems, sleep problems, and stomach problems
Sexual Abuse
Abuse with indicators include the child claiming they were sexually assaulted, having advanced sexual knowledge for their age, being pregnant, having an STD, having problems sitting or walking, or being at danger of sexually abusing others. Suicide, drug or alcohol usage, teen pregnancy, and eating disorders can occur.
Physical Abuse
Abuse with inexplicable injuries (bruises, fractured bones, burns). Physical abuse can cause learning and developmental issues, mental health issues, food disorders, and drug/alcohol usage.
Relaxation
Lowers the heart rate. Also boosts the immune system, thereby leading to more positive health outcomes.
Noninfectious Diseases
diseases that are not caused by pathogens and cannot be transmitted from person to person

Epilepsy
a disease of the central nervous system that causes sudden fits that may or may not be violent.
Metastasize
The spread of tumor cells to nearby organs or to other parts of the body through the lymph or blood vessels.
Nutrients: Fats
fuel that gives the body energy and helps fat-soluble vitamins get into the body
Omega-3-rich foods, which include fish, nuts, and vegetable based oils
Sarcoma
A kind of growth. It happens less often than cancer, but it spreads faster. It affects connective tissue, like muscle, bone, and cartilage.

Infectious Mononucleosis / Mono
a viral infection. starts with a moderate fever, sore throat, discomfort, lack of appetite, fatigue, and headache.
Type II Diabetes
This is a type of diabetes in which the pancreas still makes insulin, but the body’s cells are no longer sensitive to it.
Hepatitis B
mainly spread through dirty needles and body fluids like sweat, breast milk, and sperm.
Carcinoma
The most common form of cancer.

Generalized Absence Seizures (Petit Mal) Seizures
seizure in which child “goes blank” for a short period, generally five to twenty seconds
Cardiovascular Disease
a range of conditions related to the heart.

a bacterial infection that can be passed on by sneezing or coughing. It usually appears 3-5 days after exposure and antibiotics can treat it.
Tobacco
drug that is often established in adolescence.

eating disorder that involves a refusal to eat
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
The virus spread through needles that were dirty and through sexual interaction. Causes diarrhea that doesn’t go away, a dry cough, shortness of breath, tiredness, a rash on the skin, swollen lymph glands, candidiasis, fever or chills, night sweats, and weight loss that can’t be explained. Could cause AIDS.
Lymphoma
A kind of cancer that starts in the lymph nodes
Complex Partial (Psychomotor or Temporal Lobe) Seizures
seizure that features complex behavior patterns (constant chewing/lip smacking, repetitive hand and arm movements, aimless walking, confusion, and dizziness).
Herbal Drugs
Recently, more people have been using drugs for fun. These drugs are often sold as natural, but they still have bad effects.

It is a type of diabetes in which the pancreas does not make enough insulin.

Hepatitis A
A common infection that can be passed from person to person, through feces-to-mouth contact, sexual contact, and blood that has been contaminated.
Hepatitis C
a viral illness primarily spread by contact with an infected person’s blood, either directly or by sharing personal care items and needles
