Defining Health Disparities
no clear definition of this term nor is their uniformity on how to measure these disparities
used almost exclusively in the U.S.
Health Inequalities
word inequality implies a much stronger moral positioning and justice imperative that the term disparity used in the U.S.
In contrast, the word disparity seems to have a more neutralizing effect, inferring that observed differences may or may not be caused by amendable forces.
