- Biological e.g age, sex
- Social e.g socioeconomic status, peer pressure
- Cultural e.g cultural norms, healthcare provision
- Psychological e.g cognitive, emotional states and mental health

A
- Social norms and pressures
- Attitudes and beliefs
- Expectancy-value principle - behaviour changes or remains the same depending on person’s own belief that their behaviour will lead to certain outcomes

Describe the Health Belief Model.
A
- Modifying factors such as age, gender, personality and culture present
- Influence perceived susceptibility of threat/disase
- Influence perceived benefits and barriers of change
- All of these factors influences likelihood of behaviour change

- Attitudes towards behaviour and subjective norms influence intentions
- Intentions in turn influence behaviour
