Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 places duty on employers to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees.
1995 addition - all injuries and dangerous occurrences must be reported to HSE
1999 addition - risk assessments must be undertaken, recorded and regularly reviewed

A
  1. Identify the risk
    2.Identify the people at risk
  2. Evaluate the risk and any precautionary measures that are in place
  3. Record findings in risk assessment
  4. Regularly review the risk assessment (HSE recommend every 6 months)
