What is physical well-being?
Physical well-being is all of the systems working well and the absence of illness and injury.
What is mental well-being?
Mental well-being is:
🚝 The ability to cope with stress and control your emotions
🚝 The ability to enjoy yourself
🚝 Feelings of self confidence and self steam
What is social well-being?
Social well-being is:
🚝 You have enough to eat, enough clothing and shelter, I.e. Your basic human needs are being met
🚝 You have friendship and support
🚝 You feel that you have some value in society - either in school, your job and/or within your family
List some of the things that are required for good health.
Regular physical activity Sensible eating Regular rest, relaxation and sleep No or limited intake of alcohol No use of tobacco or other social drugs The ability to cope with stress
What is fitness?
Fitness is your ability to meet the demands of your own environment and lifestyle.
Why does the World Health Organisation define good health?
A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being (not just the absence of disease).
