Splitting/pounding/throbbing: wind-heat, toxic heat, summer heat, ST heat, GB & ST disharmony, LV fire

A

Dull, persistent pain, feeling of tightness or pressure, varies in intensity
Often late day (last minutes/yrs)
Usually related to stress, triggered by emotions
usually both sides of head

Cluster HA - very severe

A

usually starts 2-3 hours after falling asleep
burning penetrating sensation around/behind one eye
more severe pain then migraine
occurs nightly for 1-3 weeks (episodes months - yrs apart)

A

Throbbing pain
usually starts on one side of head, may spread to other side ore elsewhere on the head
often accompanied by nausea/V, cold hands, photosensativity, sensitive to sound
