FND; fever; thunderclap HA; Age > 50; progressive nausea/vomiting

A
female, increased ICP, papilledema, FND, n/v

How is IIH (pseudotumor cerebri) diagnosed?
A
CT will be negative;
do LP and see high opening pressure;

What is the treatment for IIH (pseudotumor cerebri)?
A
Acetozolamide;
refractory cases require serial LPs;
even more refractory cases get a VP shunt
