A line from the labella to the occipital protuberance
Midline
runs between the upper border of the midline of each eyebrow to the occipital protuberance
Eyebrow-occiput line
.5 cm behind the midpoint
Upper point of the Motor area
a point of intersection between the eyebrow-occiput line and the hairline at temple
End of the motor area
A line starting from a point .5 cm posterior to midpoint of midline & stretching diagonally across the head to a point at the intersection of the zygomatic arch with the hairline at the temple.
Motor area
Upper fifth of the Motor area line
Lower limb and Truck area (motor)
second & third fifths of Motor area line
Upper limb area (motor)
Lower two fifths of the motor area line
Facial area (includes Speech #1) (motor)
A line parallel & 1.5 cm posterior to the Motor line
Sensory area
Upper fifth of sensory area line
Lower limb, head & truck area (sensory)
Second and third fifths of Sensory area line
Upper limb area (sensory)
lower two fifths of Sensory area line
Facial area (sensory)
Parallel with midline of head, 1cm beside midpoint (bilaterally), about 3 cm long
Leg motor and sensory area
Parallel with & 1.5 cm anterior to Motor area line
Chorea and tremor control area
Parallel with & 1.5cm anterior to Chorea and tremor Control Area
Blood vessel dilation and constriction area
Horizontal line 1.5 cm above and centered on the apex of ear, 4cm in length
Vertigo and Hearing Area
Vertical line 2cm inferiorly posteriorly from tuber parietale on back of head, 3cm in length
Speech #2
Overlaps Vertigo & earring area at midpoint & continues 4cm posteriorly
Speech #3
With the tuber parietale origin, three needles can be inserted inferiorly, anteriorly and posteriorly to a length of 3 cm. Between them, three lines will form from 40 degree angles.
Voluntary movement area
1 cm lateral to external occipital protuberance, parallel to midline of head, 4cm in length extending downward
Balance area
Beginning at the hairline directly above the pupil of eye, parallel with midline of head, 2cm in length extending posteriorly
Stomach Area
A line 2cm in length extending anteriorly from the Stomach Area
Liver and Gallbladder area
Midway between & parallel with ST area and midline of head, literally 2cm in length (4cm total)
Thoracic cavity area
Parallel and lateral to the ST area at a distance equal to that between ST area and the Thoracic cavity area, 2cm in length
