What are the risk factors for HCC?
A
Older age - most common liver cancer beyond 10 y.o.
Any underlying liver diseases (hepB, genetic disorders, BA etc.)
Androgenic steroids

A
Only in known HBV infected children - serial AFP and ultrasound.

labs: CBC, enzymes, function, AFP, CEA, Genetics for glycogen storage disease, tyrosine is, and Wilson’s
Imaging: MRI Liver, CT chest
Bx unless diagnosis certain
Treatment: Surgical resection is the only chance for long term survival. Pretext 1/2 should have resection. Non-resectable tumors should be referred for transplant.
