A

Each hazard has a pictogram which depicts the danger presented. The number at the bottom references the UN classification number.

What is the Emergency Action Code?

A

An alphanumeric code (a number followed by a combination of letters) which gives an indication to emergency services of the initial actions to be taken.

The code can refer to the EAC card for interpretation. This is issued to all LFB operational staff, and should be carried in the fire tunic.
