What does CBRN stand for?
A deliberate attack using chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear agents, with the intention of killing or harming people
What are the classifications for Chemical agents?
Two answers
Lethal:
Nerve agents
Blood agents
Choking agents
Damaging:
Blister agents
Incapacitating
Toxic industrial chemicals
What are the two subdivisions of pathogens?
Viruses
Bacteria
What does IED stand for?
Improvised explosive device
What are the three stages to CBRN response?
Response - first 3 hours of the event
Recovery - after the first 3 hours, and potentially lasting 24 hours
Restoration - on conclusion of the incident
What does CHALETS mean?
It is a memory aid when sending a message to Brigade Control
