In the stomach acid is added and the food is broken down even more. Water is absorbed in the large intestines. The small intestines absorb the nutrients into the bloodstream. The anus take sout any leftover food.

Miconutrients
Nutrients that are needed, but are needed in small amounts. There are two types, vitamins and minerals.
Breakdown of nutrients
Protein is broken down into amino acids and is used for growth and repair. Lipids break down into fatty acids, and are used for high energy and keeps you warm. Carbohydrates break down into glucose and are used for energy. Sugars break down into glucose and are used for energy.
