What are the main applications of hardiness?
A
. Applicants for US navy seals and other elite military units are screened for hardiness and hardiness training is becoming widespread in US military
- this is because military soldiers need to be able to combat war-related stress

Why do some people question the validity of the hardiness personality?
A
. Some components seem more important than others e.g control and commitment
. It may just be one characteristic, like LOC, rather than a set of traits on a continuum
. Self-report in kobasa etc.
