processing problems.

Emphasises the use of inductive over deductive logic to communicate because it is easier to understand and remember.
What is Soft System Consulting?
• Organisational problems are messy or poorly
defined.
• Unclear objectives – “something should be done”
• Stakeholders interpret problems differently (no
objective reality)
• Creative, intuitive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to gain a deeper understanding rather
than a solution.
• Focus on improvements to organisational
problems.
• There are many problems to be solved
• Politics/conflicting interests
eg: Junior doctor strikes, obesity
