How is a hanging valley formed?
A
The glacier moves through a former river valley turning v-shaped valley into a u-shaped valley.
Freeze-thaw weathering and plucking provide the tools for abrasion.
Results of these processes are interlocking spurs are bulldozed out of the way to create steep sides of the glacial trough, which are truncated spurs.
