animals respond according to past experiences and react accordingly. good handling= good behavior

shouting and yelling. = agitates animals aggressive handling. = fatigue and injuries.
catching neck and tail = injuries.
large cattle should not be moved in groups
kicking animals causes injuries
animals need room to turn so don’t use crowd gates.

- do not approach from behind
- don’t move objects
- don’t combine big & small animals in a crush
- don’t yell at animals
- careful around blind animals
- handler should speak softly

announce your approach by softly touching animal = so you don’t scare them, use proper facilities ( crush/crowd gates)
