A
Detained for a military purpose
May detain for limited time for reason as if a crime has been committed/who was involved/awaiting local LE response
Detainment time based on PC purpose for positive identification/documenting info/CVB 1805/admin actions/issuing barment/doc info for any Brady act prohibition

What is important for civilians to know when they are detained
A
They are temporarily not free to leave
May have movement restriction for a reasonable time
Not considered arrested/apprehension

Other things to know when giving custody over to local
A
SF will document civilian offenses against the US was transferred to local orgs or if they declined for investigation by other LE agencies
