What’s a chisel
Used to cut cold metal hence cold chisel
What type of chisels are there
Flat chisel, cape chisel, diamond point chisel and round nose chisel
What chisel can be used for removing rivet heads
A cape chisel or a rivet buster chisel
What should you do when a chisel head is mushroomed
It needs to be ground down for safety
What’s a hack saw
A hack saw is a saw used to saw metals by hand
How do you know the blade is tight enough
There should be a ping coming from the blade
Which way should the teeth of the blade face
Away from the handle
When putting on a new blade what should be done
After the first few strokes blade should be retightened due to the blade stretching from the head
What is chatter
Chatter is when the work piece vibrates from not being secured properly in the vice
What does chatter do to the blade
It can break the teeth of the blade making it useless
What are some ways to start a cut
By using a file to notch a starting point or using one hand on the saw and with the other using the thumb to guide the blade where to cut
What is the min. Amount of teeth should be contacting the work piece

What are the two different types blades are made out of
All hard steel blades rigid and break easy
Bi metal has a carbon blade and the teeth are made of hard steel
What’s a Center punch
A Center punch has a 90 degree point used for making a prick punch hole bigger for better drilling
What’s a prick punch
A prick punch has a 30 - 60 degree point and is used for marking out Centers of circles or arcs during layout
