What is non-ferrous?
Materials that do not contain iron and are not attracted to a magnet
What is pinpointing?
The activity of narrowing down the location of a buried target
What is pulse indication?
Type of metal detecting technology. Short pulse of voltage are sent to the metal detectors coil. This creates a magnetic field to be generated which magnetizes metal objects. The dissipation of the magnetic field of the metal object is detected by the detectors coil
What does sensitivity refer to?
How responsive a metal detector is to small or deep targets
Detector Special Purpose No. 27 is used to detect what?
Command Wires
What does it mean and what do you do if only 1 LED remains lit after the BIT regarding No. 27?
A fault has occurred. Remove battery carrier, wait 4 seconds, reinsert batteries and restart system.
How will the No. 27 indicate a low battery?
Clicks heard every 1.5 seconds. Red fault light blinks with clicks. Indicates 30 minutes of battery life left.
