A
Known as ‘creche disease’
it is a mild vesicular eruption
caused by a Cox-sackie A virus
usu. in children <10 yrs.
Red macule progresses to vesicles 1–2 d after sore mouth and throat.

Treatment
A
Symptomatic
Paracetamol for fever
Careful hygiene (very infective)
Rinse mouth with salt water after eating
Increased fluid intake (use straw for drinking)
Exclusion not recommended
