Skin incision
Angled skin incision - distal part of fcr - angled to cmcj at scaphoid tubercle
Superficial
- though fcr sheath and retract ulnarly
Deep
- capsule
- RSC and radiolunate ligaments incised - must repair at end to prevent carpal instability
Dangers
- superficial branch radial artery
- palmar cut branch of median nerve
- Protect RSC ligament
