O: Ischial tuberosity (long head) and linea aspera (short head)
I: Head of fibula
I: Tibial part of sciatic nerve (long head) and common peroneal/common fibular of sciatic nerve (short head)
A: Extend the thigh at hip, knee flexion and lateral rotation (both hip and knee)
