tragic flaw
the character that is the exact oppostie of the main character
dramatic foil
when the audience knows what is happening, but the characters do not
dramatic irony
a brief remark giving us insight into that character’s inner thoughts about someone or something, could be to the audience or to one or two players quietly
aside
a long speech to other characters given by one of the players
monologue
a longer speech, normally from the hero, that reveals the inner thoughts and workings of the mind
soliloquy
