This was a very different kind of revolution.
Resulted in the formation of a black independent Haiti in 1803.

Impact of the American Revolution
The impact of the American Revolution on Haiti was vast.
The outcome of freedom over slavery undermined slavery on an ideological level.
This inspired the slave revolt in Haiti.
However, it also institutionalized slavery and made it a legitimate part of their constitution.
This led to them having to justify why some were not free and equal
Why they were so valuable
Most of the Haitian population were slaves and they would produce and make sugar (it was extremely hard to make and they were in terrible conditions) Napoleon valued this new sweet treat since it was so rare in France.
Haiti After Revolution
The Haitian society couldn’t trade with other countries since they were undermined. (Since they did not have frances credibility) People were worried due to the fact that Haiti was ran by freed slaves.

August 1791 with first slave uprising in the North

At first, freed slaves were treated with respect. The freed slaves were able to have many freedoms. They were wealthy, and they even had slaves of their own.

Declared independence in 1803; established the Republic of Haiti in 1804

A way to unify people in a country usually through a common enemy, its used to get a country together to power over them.
End of Haitian Revolution
Eventually, the Haitian Revolution came to an end, due to the reinstated slavery laws of the new ruler, Napoleon.
