CXR - bilateral interstitial pulmonary infiltrates but can produce other findings: lobar consolidation
- exercise induced desaturation
(CT shows large pneumothorax)

Mx of pneumocystitis jirovecia pneumonia?
A
- co trimox
- IV pentamidine in severe cases
- steroids if hypoxia, if pO2 <9.3kPa then steroids reduce risk of resp failure by 50% and death by a 1/3
