if patient has previously treated with metronidazole you wouldnt use the metronidazole option - use amox instead

no - unless the ulcer is large then continue for three months
out of the three HP eradication antibacterial options which is the only one where resistance developping is unlikely

nooooo - poor eradication results
triple therapy gets about 85%
if triple therapy HP erradication fails what would you throw at it
two weeks of PPI tripotassium dicitratobismuthate tetracycline metronidazole
alternatively get senstivety tested with endoscopy
if using H2 to prevent NSAID associated ulcer what should you do to the dose
double the daily dose
misoprostol can be used to prevent NSAID associated ulcers but what limits its use
colic and diahhorea
what do you treat nsaid associated ulcers with
PPIs and stop NSAID
then test for H pylori and treat that too
If you cant stop the NSAID just use PPI to treat
councelling with milk and tripotassium dicitratobismuthate
what class of drug is this
dont drink mild during treatment but you can have a wee bit in drinks or on cereal
antacids and fruit juice to be avoided 30 mins before dose
