How many stages does vaginal cancer have?
I to IV
Stage I vaginal CA
Confined to vaginal mucosa
Lesion <2cm
Stage II vaginal CA
Spread to subvaginal mucosa (not extending into pelvic sidewall)
Lesion <2cm
Stage III vaginal CA
Extending to pelvic sidewall
Stage IV vaginal CA
IV a = spread to adjacent organs
IV b = spread to distant organs
Lymph node drainage of vagina
Upper 1/3 = follows the cervix and drains into pelvic and para-aortic lymph nodes
Lower portion/Remainder = inguinal lymph nodes
Follow up/surveillance for vaginal CA
q3 months x 2y if high risk
q6 months x 2y if low risk
How many stages does fallopian cancer have?
I to IV
Stage I fallopian CA
Ia: 1 tube
Ib: bilateral tubes
Ic: tumor has ruptured or involved peritoneal fluid
Stage II fallopian CA
IIa: spread to uterus and/or ovaries
IIb: spread to other pelvic organs/rectum
Stage III fallopian CA
III: spread to lymph nodes or nearby organs
stage IV fallopian CA
IV: spread to liver and beyond
