- Prevents mid cycle surge of LH
- Thins endometrium
- Acne, dysmenorrhea
Combination oral contraceptives- AE
- DVT- smokers
- Migraines or antiepileptics
Progesterone only
- Mini pill
- Inhibits ovulation
- Safe during lactation
- Less effective, irregularities
