Mucinous cystic neoplam (then can qualify if necessary- “at least borderline”)
Endometrial bx with cherry red nucleoli
Think about pap serous
Pap serous immunos
- p53 positive or completely dead neg in ~10% (this is still aberrant though b/c should see scattered positive)
- p16 is positive (completely different pathway from HPV driven tumors)
Endometrial bx with small fragments of epithelium suggestive of pap serous
“Limited tissue with high grade features, see comment”
Comment: Cannot tell if invasive vs EIC
If you see benign appearing mucinous tumor with small focus of complexity (borderline)
Mention it in a comment, however if <10% it does not matter (should quantify % in comment)
Stain to help tell B9 from malignant endocervical glands
p16 (and Ki67 can also be helpful too)
