A

He was martyred at the demands of Mughal emperor Jahangir.
He was tortured for 5 days with boiling water and hot sheets of metal because he didn’t remove certain hymns of Muslim saints.
He then asked to bathe in the River Ravi and was carried away by the river as a martyr of Sikh faith whilst thousands of followers watched.
