What is the most common cause of infertility?
Female age - older women have greater risk of aneuploidy (presence of an abnormal number of chromosomes in a cell)
What are other causes of infertility?
Low sperm count
Endometriosis (appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain, especially associated with menstruation)
What are some causes of recurrent pregnancy loss?
Female age
Uterine abnormalities e.g. submucosal/subserosal/intramural fibroids in the uterus (accumulation of muscle cells, interfere with normal blood flow), or uterine septum.
Less likely to be due to low sperm count.
