A

Code is 997 and it’s used when there are registration problems.

What’s the downside of using a wild card?

A

You won’t be able to contact the signaller as normal so you’ll need to contact the signaller via the phonebook. You must always confirm you’re talking to the correct signaller when using the phonebook.

A

  1. Make 2 attempts
  2. Contact the signaller using phonebook and make another attempt.
  3. Contact the signaller if still not working and the signaller will tell you to use the company wild card.

A

Following unsuccessful attempts when given authorisation from the signaller provided “GSM-R GB” is displayed.

How can the signaller contact you if driving an authorised unregistered train and how do you then make contact with the signaller?

A

Via a broadcast call, the signaller will gain your attention by using your headcode. Then you will contact the signaller via the Network Rail phonebook.
(REC will work as normal)

A

If stuck on “Searching Networks” contact signaller via phonebook. There’s an option to manually select the network via “MU>Settings>Select Network” If “Network?” Is displayed then manually select the network.

A

A

It’s where the signaller can use the train’s PA system. Used for example when the signaller suspects the driver is incapacitated and there is no guard on the train.

A

The lead signaller can override this.

A

If advised there are network issues in the area, contact signaller by using the NR number or the number in the PON.

A

Activated if master switch is in forward or reverse and no action is taken to reset the DSD.
If you get this call then inform the signaller that it was triggered in error.
