Anticipate regression in times if illness or crisis
Be accepting and supportive
Retain-Behaviors of past stage, Attain some goals at this stage and Begin some behaviors of next stage
Support good family relationships
Encourage Health promotion activities at each sstage
Implications of Maslow for nursing
All human have needs
Lower level needs must be addressed before
A person is motivated by all 5 categories at one time
Meeting needs is dynamic
Physical needs takes priority over psychosocial
Doesn’t mean that one need must be resolved before working on another
