H - increased suicide rates, sexually transmitted infections, and cancer, alcohol and smoking –> from lack of education and discrimination
Eg. a teenager who is struggling with coming out is more susceptible to developing depression as a result of social stigmas or unnacceptance
Ed - Increasing education allows for increased knowledge of support services –> decreasing health inequities for this group (affects health)
eg. by prioritising this need a gay teenager has increased knowledge of support services such as beyond blue –> increasing mental health and ability to cope from discrimination

GALCFTS - gender, age, level of education, culture/first language spoken, type of disability, socioeconomic status
G - females more likely to access support
A - under 18s have decreased access without parental consent
L - decreased knowledge –> unaware of appropriate services available/ need
C - religious beliefs, no english
F - no english = language barriers
T - may physically be restricted if in wheelchair
S - low SES are less likely to access support services or any at all
Resources
KEMT - knowledge, energy, money, time
K - decreased knowledge –> unaware of appropriate services available/ need
E - need energy to attend appointments and travel to
M - Helps assist with accessing specialist services, many face lack of employment
T - Limited time as a result of multiple commitments eg. teenager in school, working
Aspects of the service
COLS - confidentiality, opening hours, location, staffing
C - many GLBTI attend sexual health services, thus confidentiality is significant
O - those in school can only access services outside school hours
L - eg. rural and remote areas have less services available
