Team Project Groups
❖ There will be groups of ? students for your Team Projects
❖ Students will sign up for a group on Canvas under People in the left-hand column-then click on Esthetic Case Groups on
the upper tab
❖ You can determine your group in advance and sign up together, or you can sign up on any group and work with
whoever else signs up there
❖ Go to D6411 Operative III Canvas site-click on People-click on Esthetic Case Groups-sign up on any open group

▪ EHR
▪ Extra- and intra-oral photographic series
▪ Photos of facebow-mounted diagnostic casts, diagnostic wax-up, and occlusal evaluation
▪ Esthetic analysis form
▪ Consults
❖ The team will develop what tx plans
❖ The case will be compiled in a ? and submitted on Canvas in/when?
❖ The team will develop two treatment plans to address patient’s chief complaint and address the problems you see.
❖ The case will be compiled in a PowerPoint and submitted on Canvas in the Spring Advanced Restorative II Course.
tx plan options for esthetic case
- First option-ideal treatment plan that presents the best dentistry has to offer to comprehensively treat the patient’s needs with no concern for time or money. The “gold standard” treatment plan.
- Second option- compromised treatment plan due to finances or time available which addresses some or all of patient concerns

Patient Selection requirements
1. Patient selected by team must be approved by?
2. ? or more anterior teeth that require significant changes in?
3. If ortho tx is part of your suggested plan, make sure that it is?
4. Suggested ortho movements will need to be?
- Patient selected by team must be approved by Dr. Seabaugh.
- Two or more anterior teeth that require significant changes in form, length, and/or position (not just shade or color) must
be involved in the proposed treatment plan. - If ortho tx is part of your suggested plan, make sure that it is NOT the only treatment. In other words, the case must need significant esthetic restorative work after the ortho tx is
completed in order for it to be approved. - Suggested ortho movements will need to be simulated on your study models (you will need to cut the teeth and move them around to their anticipated positions after ortho) along with
your diagnostic wax up

Esthetic analysis form
1. Print off form-”Esthetic Analysis Form” which can be found under Modules-Esthetic Case Information. “Instructions Esthetic Analysis Form” is available in the same Module for reference to assist in completing the form.
2. Complete each section.
3. Must be written in a manner the patient can understand and give informed consent.
4. This is a tool for dentist and patient to arrive at the best treatment option. Therefore, it is imperative it communicate with laser simplicity AND cover the necessary items
