Q

What is the choreographic intention of our group dance?

A

The intent is to communicate that we are moving forward in our lives without letting go of our childhood and the adventurous memories we’ve had.

Q

Two examples of how we manipulated movement using a choreographic device

A

Maximisation - falling back movement by using our arms to maximise and add emphasis to the movement.
Embellishment - instead of just raising our leg and stepping back we raised it, rotated the knee to the side and then stepped back.

Q

How did we use expressive performance techniques to communicate the intent?

A

We used expressive techniques such as our facial expressions to be happy and smiley to communicate childhood and then serious but still happy to show that we’ve grown up but we still have that childish part of us.
