What are the major aims of Green Ag initiative ?
1) To integrate biodiversity , climate change and sustainable land management objectives and practices into Indian agriculture
2) Aims to catalyze a transformative change of Indias agriculture sector to support achievement of national and global environmental benefits and conservation of critical biodiversity and forest landscapes
What is GEF ?
It is an intl partnership of 183 countries , intl institutions , civil society organizations and private sector that addresses global environmental issues
When was GEF established ?
On the eve of 1992 Rio Earth Summit
To which countries are the GEF funds available ?
To developing countries and countries with economies in transition
How does the World Bank view GEF ?
It views GEF as a trustee administering GEF Trust fund
