Cella/naos
Room in the temple with cult statue/ central room.
Opisthodomus?
Room at the top back of the temple where treasure is kept.
Pronaos?
Small room/ porch in front of the naos.
Stylobate?
Top section of stairs where the columns rest
Collonade?
Columns that hold up the roof and line the perimeter of the temple.
Triglyph?
vertical plaques with three grooves.
Metope?
Square spaces for either painted or sculpted decoration of a Doric temple.
Frieze?
A continuous strip of stone or marble that runs around the entire of a temple, decorated in either Doric or ionic style.
