What is an Independent Clause?
It is a clause that makes sense on its own. E.g. “Mark studies Greek because he likes greek”
What is a Dependent Clause?
It is a clause that doesn’t make sense on its own. It depends on another clause in order for its meaning to be complete. E.g. “because he likes greek” doesn’t make sense by itself.
