When the Greeks weren’t in battle they sought glory in athletic competitions.
Why is polis important to Greeks?
It was the central force in Greek life, it was a city and it’s surrounding country side

A rule passed into the hands of a small group of noble families
What are the three things Pericles wanted to strengthen Athens?
1) strengthen Athenian democracy
2) build a commercial empire
3) glorify Athens
Why was drama important to Greeks?
They were an expression of civic pride and tribute to the gods
Who was Socrates?
An ancient philosopher who Made the Socratic method which is asking a bunch of question to help understand a topic
Why did Plato hate democracy a lot?
Socrates death convinced him the average citizens of a democracy were unable to govern wisely
How did Aristotle aid in the development of scientific thinking?
He creates the step thinking progress called a syllogism that explained point A to point C.
Who is Aristotle?
One of platos greatest student at the academy who created the syllogism
