Autoimmune condition where your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid which causes it to become overactive.
Most common cause of hyperthyroidism

Often runs in families
Smoking can also increase your risk of getting it.

A
Thyroid gland diffusely, symmetrically enlarged without nodules Bruit Graves orbitopathy/ thyroid eye disease Pretibial myxoedema Thyroid acropachy

Thyroid eye disease?
A
Eye irritation, photophobia, excessive watering Redness of eyes, eyelids and/ or swelling Change in appearance of eye or eyelids: Eyelid retraction Lid lag Proptosis Persistent double vision Globe subluxation
