How can i tell what shale my graph will be from the algebra
A
If the highest power of x is x then it is going to be a straight line(linear graph)
If the highest power of x is x^2 then its a quadratic grapgh which is a u or an n shape-called a parabola

What does the numbers in a linear graph tell us
A
Y=3x-1
3 is gradient or steepness and it tells us for every one you go to the right you go 3 up(positive-up to right,negative-down to right)
The -1 is where the line crosses the Y axis.

How do I know which way a up a quadratic graph is

If the x^2 is positive it is a u shape,if the x^2 is negative its an n shape
